Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has officially joined Italian Serie A side Lazio on a permanent transfer after the club activated his release clause.
The 24-year-old initially joined Lazio on a season-long loan from Turkish club Hatayspor, with a mandatory purchase clause included in the deal.

Baroni impressed with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru impact at Lazio
Dele-Bashiru had a slow start to the campaign but has earned the trust of Lazio’s head coach, Marco Baroni, who has consistently highlighted the midfielder’s potential.
The former Manchester City academy player has become more involved in recent months, contributing five goals and two assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
Baroni, has spoken highly of the Nigerian and hopes the midfielder will be fit for the run-in as Lazio chase a place in Europe and with their sights on the Europa Cup.

His impressive performances earned him a place in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
However, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle opted against risking his fitness, leaving him out of the final 23-man squad.
Dele-Bashiru’s permanent move to Lazio marks another significant step in his career, and the midfielder will now aim to continue his career in Italy, hoping to establish himself as a key player in Baroni’s team.
