Former Super Eagles and Monaco winger Victor Ikpeba has weighed in on Mohamed Salah’s announced Liverpool exit, Afrik Foot reports.
The 33-year-old Egyptian is arguably Liverpool’s best attacker of the 21st century. His 255 goals and 122 assists in 435 games for the Merseysiders have etched him into the club’s history for centuries to come.
The former Chelsea winger suffered a dip in form this season, and after a deliberation with the club’s board, took to his social media page to announce he’d be leaving at the end of the season.

Victor Ikpeba weighs in on Mo Salah’s Liverpool exit
Ikpeba, speaking on SuperSport’s Monday Night Football, admitted that the former AS Roma winger is an undisputed Premier League legend, before agreeing with the club’s decision to part ways with the 33-year-old.
“Looking at other great Africans who have played in the Premier League, his numbers are astonishing. I would say he is the best. Top scorer in the Premier League three times — actually four,” the 52-year-old said in quotes revealed by Complete Sports.

“I don’t think any African player has ever done that. Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup winner, and he will be remembered for a very long time.
“This season, he has been terrible; age has caught up with him. He doesn’t have the legs like he did in his early years at Liverpool.
“Maybe because of family reasons, he signed a new contract. He decided to stay for another season, which is not bad,” the former Borussia Dortmund winger concluded.

Mohamed Salah’s 255 goals for Liverpool put him third on the club’s record goalscorers, only behind Roger Hunt (280) and Ian Rush (339).
