Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard has revealed that Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has returned to training after missing the team’s 2-1 loss to QPR last week, Afrik-Foot reports.
Onyeka recently joined Coventry from Brentford on a half-season loan deal but is yet to make his debut for the club.
While the Super Eagles star was an unused substitute in the goalless draw against Oxford United, he missed the midweek fixture against QPR due to personal reasons.

Coventry’s next game is a high-stakes encounter against table-toppers Middlesbrough on Monday. Both teams are expected to go all out as they jostle for a top spot in the Championship.
Ahead of the clash, Lampard confirmed that Onyeka was absent from the previous match because his wife had just given birth. He added, however, that the midfielder has already returned to training and should be in contention for a place in the squad on Monday.

“Yeah, he’s ready to go,” Lampard said about Onyeka, per Coventry Live.
“He had a couple of days off; the baby arrived on Sunday/Monday, so he’s back training with us. It’s good for him to get some training time in before we look toward Monday’s game.”
Frank Onyeka Looking to Make an Impact at Coventry City
Frank Onyeka left Brentford for Coventry City after failing to secure consistent game time under coach Keith Andrews.
Now at Coventry, he will be eager to make his mark. The Sky Blues are desperate to clinch promotion to the Premier League, having not tasted top-flight football since the turn of the century.

Although the Super Eagles midfielder hasn’t featured yet, his time under the sun is imminent, and he will be expected to make an immediate impact.
The 28-year-old still has one year remaining on his Brentford contract, keeping him tied to the Bees until the end of next season.

However, if he helps the Sky Blues gain promotion, Coventry will likely be motivated to secure his services permanently.
A win over Middlesbrough on Monday will be vital for Coventry’s promotion hopes, and they will be banking on a positive result on Monday night.
