Nigeria international Alex Iwobi scored his first-ever goal against Tottenham Hotspur as Fulham secured an impressive 2-1 Premier League victory on Sunday, Afrik-Foot reports.
Fulham made a fast start, taking the lead after just seven minutes through Harry Wilson, whose early strike stunned a Tottenham side struggling badly for form.
The visitors doubled their advantage in the 34th minute thanks to Iwobi. The Nigerian midfielder combined brilliantly with Wilson before calmly placing his finish into the bottom-left corner beyond goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

It was a significant moment for Iwobi. Across 18 previous appearances against Spurs, he had never scored, managing only one assist before this match.
The goal was also his fourth in the Premier League this season and another reminder of his massive influence under Fulham boss Marco Silva.
Iwobi nearly turned provider shortly after the restart when he slipped a superb through pass to Emile Smith Rowe, but the midfielder’s chipped attempt was well saved.

Spurs fight back as Iwobi, Bassey, Chukwueze impress
Tottenham pulled one back in the 66th minute when Brazilian forward Richarlison headed home to revive hopes for the home side. Tempers briefly flared after the goal, with Fulham defender Calvin Bassey and Richarlison both shown yellow cards following a tussle.

Another Super Eagles star, Samuel Chukwueze, entered the match in the 72nd minute and immediately injected pace and creativity into Fulham’s attack. He soon created a chance for Iwobi during a quick counterattack, but the midfielder fired over from a promising position.
Chukwueze later produced a superb cross-field pass to Rodrigo Muniz, though the striker’s effort lacked power and was comfortably saved. The on-loan AC Milan winger then fired a low shot into a sea of bodies as Fulham looked to increase their advantage.
Despite Tottenham’s late pressure, Fulham held firm to claim an important victory. The defeat extended Spurs’ miserable run to ten Premier League games without a win, matching their longest winless streak since 1994 under Ossie Ardiles.

For Fulham, the result carried added significance. After also winning the reverse fixture earlier in the season, they completed their first league double over Tottenham since the 2003-04 campaign.
Silva’s side are now enjoying renewed momentum, recording back-to-back league victories for the first time since December, following last week’s 3-1 win at Sunderland, a match in which Iwobi registered both a goal and an assist.
Fulham will aim to continue their strong run when they host West Ham United on Wednesday, with Iwobi, Chukwueze and Bassey expected to play key roles once again.
