Kasimpasa welcome Amedspor to the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium in Istanbul on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Matchday 4 of the Trendyol Super Lig, Afrik-foot reports.

Super Eagles striker Gift Orban is set to lead Amedspor’s attack in the absence of compatriot Yira Sor, who is ruled out for six weeks after tearing his left hamstring against Trabzonspor, while Emre Belozoglu’s Kasimpasa arrive unbeaten from their opening three league games.

Amedspor are making their first ever appearance in the Trendyol Super Lig this season. Besnik Hasi’s side go into Sunday having beaten Trabzonspor 2-1 in their previous outing, with Orban coming off the bench to score a 90th-minute winner.

Kasimpasa vs Amedspor Match Preview

Kasimpasa narrowly avoided relegation last season, surviving by three points after beating eventual champions Galatasaray 1-0 on the final day of the campaign.

Belozoglu has steadied the ship since arriving in December 2025. Three unbeaten league games this term – a 1-1 draw with Trabzonspor at home, a 1-0 away win at Corum and a 1-1 draw at Basaksehir – represent a solid start.

Amedspor, meanwhile, have announced themselves as a genuine Super Lig presence. A 3-0 opening-day win over Erzurumspor was followed by a 2-0 loss at Kocaelispor, but the comeback victory over Trabzonspor last Monday served notice that Hasi’s side will not be easy opposition for anyone.

The loss of Sor changes the dynamic of this match significantly. The Lagos-born winger had scored the equaliser against Trabzonspor before being forced off after 50 minutes with a hamstring tear.

With Orban now set to step into the lead role, Amedspor’s attacking threat has shifted. His goal against Trabzonspor – a composed finish after latching onto a long ball from midfield – showed exactly the movement and finishing quality he can offer.

Head-to-Head Record: Kasimpasa vs Amedspor

Sunday’s game is a historic first. This is the first ever meeting between the two clubs in the Super Lig, a direct result of Amedspor’s promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history. So Orban could make history by being the first player to score in this tie.

There is no meaningful head-to-head record to draw on at this level. The two sides have operated in entirely different divisions of Turkish football for most of their histories, and no league meeting between them predates the 2026-27 campaign.

What can be said is that Kasimpasa are unbeaten at home this season. Amedspor, by contrast, are yet to win away from Diyarbakir, losing 2-0 at Kocaelispor in their only road fixture.

Team News, Injuries and Predicted XIs

Kasimpasa

Kamil Corekci remains the only confirmed absentee, continuing his recovery from an Achilles tendon injury that has kept him out since the start of the campaign.

Adrian Benedyczak has nailed down the striker role, scoring twice and adding an assist across 264 minutes of league football. Belozoglu has shown no hesitation in making the Polish forward his first choice up front.

Fousseni Diabate has also contributed a goal from his three appearances, giving the Apaches a dual attacking threat from the forward line. Guven Yalcin completes the front three, with 186 minutes under his belt despite not yet opening his account.

Andri Fannar Baldursson and Elson Mendes have been the engine room of Kasimpasa’s midfield, accumulating 247 and 184 minutes respectively. Kerem Demirbay slots in alongside them when available, bringing experience and composure.

Mortadha Ben Ouanes, who registered six assists last season, has made only one appearance of 78 minutes so far. He is pushing for more involvement but is not yet a certain starter.

Predicted Kasimpasa XI (4-3-3): Gianniotis; Winck, Ilie, Arous, Jessen; Demirbay, Mendes, Baldursson; Diabate, Benedyczak, Yalcin.

Amedspor

Yira Sor’s six-week absence is the dominant team news story for Besnik Hasi. The winger’s hamstring tear, confirmed by MRI scan, rules him out until at least mid-October.

Gift Orban is set to fill that void. The 24-year-old Nigerian has one goal and one assist in 218 minutes of Super Lig football so far, and his 90th-minute winner against Trabzonspor puts him in strong contention to start from the off on Sunday.

Mbaye Diagne remains an option up front, while Dia Saba and Samuel Ballet are expected to operate in the positions behind the striker. The back three of Mehmet Yesil, Lumbardh Dellova and David Bates is expected to remain intact.

Predicted Amedspor XI (3-4-2-1): Alban Lafont; Mehmet Yesil, Lumbardh Dellova, David Bates; Cem Ustundag, Rayan Raveloson, (RWB), (LWB); Dia Saba, Samuel Ballet; Orban.

The Managers: Emre Belozoglu vs Besnik Hasi

Emre Belozoglu is one of Turkey’s most decorated former players, a 101-cap international who played for Inter Milan, Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid across a long club career.

The 45-year-old took charge at Kasimpasa in December 2025 and has steadied a side that had been in serious danger of relegation.

His approach is built on defensive organisation and quick transitions. Three unbeaten games to open the new season suggest his methods are landing.

Besnik Hasi, 54, is a Kosovo Albanian who managed RSC Anderlecht twice and has also taken charge of Legia Warsaw, Olympiacos and clubs in Saudi Arabia. He arrived at Amedspor in June, and his European coaching experience has been evident in how quickly the newly promoted side have found their feet.

Hasi’s preferred 3-4-2-1 gives Amedspor a clear tactical identity. Sunday will test whether he can replicate Matchday 3’s performance away from home.

Tactical Preview: Belozoglu’s 4-3-3 vs Hasi’s 3-4-2-1

Kasimpasa’s front three of Diabate, Benedyczak and Yalcin gives Belozoglu width and a focal point in attack. The trio are supported by a midfield three built around Baldursson and Mendes, who have driven the most minutes in that area of the pitch so far this season.

Winck at right back provides an additional attacking outlet down the flank, having already contributed one assist this term. His overlapping runs will create questions for Amedspor’s left wingback.

Amedspor’s high defensive line creates a vulnerability to direct balls in behind the back three. Orban’s movement off the shoulder of defenders is his primary weapon, and Benedyczak will look to exploit the same space from the other end.

Set-pieces are a specific area to watch. David Bates is physically imposing at the back for Amedspor, but the visitors have been vulnerable from dead-ball situations in their away fixtures this season.
