Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has advised Chelsea to sack head coach Liam Rosenior following a dismal run of results, Afrik-Foot reports.
Rosenior took charge at Stamford Bridge on January 6, following the shock dismissal of Enzo Maresca.
The Englishman had previously impressed at Strasbourg, and there were rumors that he was the preferred successor should Maresca depart.

While Rosenior enjoyed a honeymoon period with four consecutive Premier League wins, the wheels came off in March.
The Blues suffered league defeats to Arsenal, Everton, and Newcastle, struggled to overcome Championship side Wrexham in the FA Cup, and were humiliated by PSG in an 8-2 aggregate defeat in the Champions League.
The Blues have now lost four of their last six matches across all competitions. This slump has seen them drop to 6th in the Premier League table — 22 points off the summit — leaving them in real danger of missing out on Champions League qualification.

This poor form has created an air of unrest, with both the players and the coach facing heavy criticism from the fans.
Mikel Obi Calls For Sack For Under-Fire Rosenior
Rosenior has been under intense scrutiny for his tactical approach and his demeanor on the touchline.
Notably, he has been ridiculed by fans for frequently handing out tactical instruction notes to players, only for the team to continue losing games.
Mikel Obi, who represented Chelsea for 11 years and remains a legendary figure at the club, expressed his chagrin at the club’s precarious situation.

Speaking on the Obi One Podcast, he urged the club’s hierarchy to part ways with Rosenior if he fails to secure Champions League football.
”No! If we don’t make the Champions League, I’m sorry, it’s a f***ing disaster. He has to go; there’s no point,” Mikel stated.
”He’s had time to win games. He started off alright, but look at the games we won. Every time we’ve come up against the big teams, we’ve lost. Players like Enzo Fernández are looking at it, thinking, ‘No, I want to play in the Champions League next season. I don’t want to play in the Conference League again.'”
”Moises Caicedo is saying the same thing. They’ve tasted what it feels like to play in the Champions League. They don’t want to go back to the Conference League or Europa League.”
Mikel also emphasized that the standards at the club have slipped compared to the era of former owner Roman Abramovich.

”What is the objective of the football club? I keep saying it, and I might sound like a broken record, but it’s important to know. With Roman, we knew what it was: if you’re not winning, you’re out. It’s as simple as that. He made it clear he was there to win,” Mikel added.
”It’s not right. Chelsea fans are frustrated, and so am I. I’m frustrated with these owners. They’re not projecting the right message to the fans or the players. You can’t say, ‘If you don’t make the Champions League, it’s fine.’ It’s not fine. Not for a club like Chelsea.”

The unrest isn’t limited to people like Mikel Obi. Even Chelsea players like Enzo Fernández and Marc Cucurella have recently hinted at dissatisfaction with the club’s direction, even admitting the possibility of a summer exit.
If results do not improve immediately, Rosenior’s time at Stamford Bridge may be cut short.
