Super Eagles and Bayer 04 Leverkusen winger Nathan Temitayo Tella has penned a three-year extension with the German side, Afrik Foot reports.
Despite playing limited minutes at the Bay Arena this season due to injuries, he was rewarded with a new deal by the club.
Bayer’s Sporting Director, Simon Rolfes, revealed that Tella’s dedication to the club displays the core value of what they want from players in the club.

“We are very pleased that we will retain a sympathetic and high-class professional in our ranks in the long term.

What Tella said after his new Leverkusen deal
The former Southampton winger was delighted to have put pen to paper with his new side, and he’s looking to make even better memories at the Bay Arena.
“Obviously, I’m really happy. It shows that the club have a lot of trust in me,” the 26-year-old said.
“Especially in a difficult season for me personally with my injuries. They’ve offered me a new deal in a place where I feel comfortable, it’s a no brainer for me to sign it.
“It means a lot. Coming here, my ambition was to be a part of a competitive team and this club has helped me achieve dreams which I didn’t have.
“I’ve been able to play in the Champions League, I’ve gotten to a European final, I’ve won the Bundesliga undefeated, It’s great.

Leverkusen are currently 6th on the Bundesliga table, and will be looking to qualify for the UEFA Champions League to salvage a poor season.
