Nigeria has a strong group of players in EA Sports FC 27, with stars from the Super Eagles and Super Falcons filling the top spots, Afrik-Foot reports.
EA Sports’ official Nigeria ratings list puts 10 players at 78 overall or higher. The list also gives Nigeria a rare mix of attacking talent, midfield quality, defensive strength and goalkeeping experience.
The ratings create an interesting picture. Victor Osimhen is no longer alone at the top. Chiamaka Nnadozie sits level with the Galatasaray striker at 85 overall, while Ademola Lookman is close behind at 83. The women’s game also has a strong presence, with Rasheedat Ajibade and Jennifer Echegini both inside the top five.
10. Nathan Tella | 78 overall
Nathan Tella takes the final place in the top 10 with a 78 overall rating. The winger has built his career across English football and later moved into the Bundesliga, where his speed and direct style made him a useful attacking option.
EA Sports places Tella behind several Nigerian stars at 78 overall, but that rating still puts him among the country’s elite FC 27 players. His inclusion is notable because the top 10 contains only a small gap between him and players several places higher.
Tella is also part of a large group of Nigerian players rated 78, but EA’s ranking places him ahead of the other players at that level.
9. Calvin Bassey | 78 overall
Calvin Bassey is the highest-rated Nigerian central defender in this top 10, with a 78 overall rating.
Bassey developed through the Scottish football system before making a major move to Rangers. His performances helped him earn a transfer to Ajax, and his career later took him to Fulham in the Premier League.
His place at No. 9 gives Nigeria a defender inside a top 10 that is dominated by attackers and midfielders. Bassey’s 78 overall also puts him level with Tella, Raphael Onyedika and Samuel Chukwueze in EA’s list.
8. Ola Aina | 79 overall
Ola Aina is the highest-rated Nigerian defender in the ranking at 79 overall.
The full-back has played in England and Italy, with Chelsea, Torino and Nottingham Forest among the major clubs in his career. His experience across different leagues has also made him a regular part of Nigeria’s international setup.
Aina’s 79 rating places him one point above the group of Nigerian players rated 78. That small difference is enough to move him into eighth place.
His ranking also gives Nigeria one defender inside the top eight alongside Bassey, while the attacking positions take most of the other places.
7. Alex Iwobi | 80 overall
Alex Iwobi sits at 80 overall, making him the highest-rated Nigerian midfielder in this top 10.
Iwobi came through Arsenal’s academy and made his first-team debut in October 2015. He later moved to Everton and then Fulham, while also becoming an important player for Nigeria.
His career includes major international tournaments and Premier League experience. In FC 27, EA Sports places him on the same 80 overall rating as Jennifer Echegini and Gift Monday. That puts Iwobi in a three-player group just below Ajibade and Lookman.
6. Gift Monday | 80 overall
Gift Monday is one of the most interesting names in Nigeria’s FC 27 top 10. The striker is rated 80 overall, level with Iwobi and Echegini. Her place in the ranking reflects her rise in Nigerian women’s football and her role as an attacking player for the Super Falcons.
Monday has also gained experience outside Nigeria, giving her a wider club background as she continues to develop at international level. EA Sports’ 80 rating puts her among Nigeria’s top six players in FC 27. That is a major position in a list led by some of the country’s most established stars.
5. Jennifer Echegini | 80 overall
Jennifer Echegini completes the group of three Nigerian players rated 80 overall. The midfielder became known for her performances in college football in the United States before moving into the professional game in Europe. She has also become part of the Super Falcons setup.
EA Sports gives Echegini an 80 overall rating in FC 27. That places her above every Nigerian player rated 79 or lower and only one point behind Rasheedat Ajibade. Her fifth-place position is also significant because it puts another Super Falcons player ahead of several established Super Eagles names.
4. Rasheedat Ajibade | 81 overall
Rasheedat Ajibade is the highest-rated Nigerian player outside the top three, with an 81 overall rating. Ajibade has been one of the key attacking players for the Super Falcons. Her club career has taken her to Europe, where she has played at a high level and built a strong reputation as an attacking midfielder.
Her FC 27 rating puts her one point above the three players on 80 and two points ahead of the players on 79. That makes Ajibade the clear fourth-ranked Nigerian player in EA Sports’ official list.
3. Ademola Lookman | 83 overall
Ademola Lookman takes third place with an 83 overall rating. The forward has played in England, Germany and Italy, with spells at Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, Leicester City and Atalanta. His time in Italy turned him into one of Nigeria’s most dangerous attacking players.
Lookman’s rise reached a major point in May 2024, when he scored a hat-trick for Atalanta in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin. Atalanta won 3-0, and Lookman became the first player to score three goals in a Europa League final.
That reputation is reflected in FC 27. His 83 overall rating puts him two points behind the two players at the top.
2. Victor Osimhen | 85 overall
Victor Osimhen is tied for first place with an 85 overall rating.
The striker has become one of Nigeria’s most recognised footballers after major spells in France, Germany, Italy and Turkey. His Napoli career produced a Serie A title and the 2022-23 Serie A Golden Boot, while his goals also made him one of the most feared forwards in European football.
Osimhen’s place at the top of the FC 27 ratings is no surprise. EA Sports gives him the same overall score as Nnadozie, putting both players at 85. That makes the race for first place one of the most interesting parts of the Nigerian ratings.
1. Chiamaka Nnadozie | 85 overall
Chiamaka Nnadozie is Nigeria’s highest-ranked player in the EA Sports FC 27 list, with an 85 overall rating.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper has built a strong reputation in European football and has become one of the key figures in Nigeria’s national team. Her performances at international tournaments have helped establish her as one of Africa’s leading goalkeepers.
EA Sports rates Nnadozie at 85 overall, level with Osimhen but places her first in the official Nigeria list. That gives the Super Falcons goalkeeper the top spot in this ranking.
