George Ilenikhena Shines Again

Super Eagles invitee George Ilenikhena produced yet another brilliant showing for his Al Ittihad side when they beat Al-Faisaly 3-1 on Friday. He provided two assists for Youssef En Nesyri to see them through.

It was a brilliant 63 minutes of action for the young forward, who has been in fine form for Al Ittihad for the past two months. This season, he now has four goals and two assists for his side.

Akor Adams Breaks Serie A Duck

Super Eagles striker Akor Adams finally scored his first Serie A goal for Venezia last night, when they suffered a 4-2 loss to Fiorentina.

He got the ball inside the edge of the area and smacked a wicked effort past the goalkeeper. But his goals was not enough to land his team their first point of the campaign.

Eric Chelle’s New Problem

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle may yet be without another key player for the upcoming international break. This comes as Fisayo Dele-Bashiru appears to have suffered a significant injury setback that could keep him sidelined until after the international break.

Earlier in the week, there were reports that he could make it in time for Lazio’s game against AC Milan this weekend, but that is not the case. Chelle will now have to assess other options.
