The Super Falcons opened their preparation for the 2025 Women's Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 win over Cameroon on Tuesday.
A first-half brace by captain Rasheedat Ajibade was enough to secure victory over the Indomitable Lionesses in Abeokuta.
The friendly, which was wracked with multiple cancellations and postponements, is the first competitive fixture for the Nigeria women's national team in 2025. Next, the Super Falcons will face Portugal on June 23 ahead of the WAFCON in Morocco.

Who will Super Falcons face at WAFCON 2025?
The nine-time African champions have been drawn against Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria. Nigeria will face off with those opponents on the 6th, 10th and 13th of July respectively.
The continent's highest-ranked side have never failed to progress from the Group Stage at the Cup of Nations, and are bidding for a record-extending tenth triumph in Morocco.
In the last edition in 2023, Nigeria claimed a bronze medal finish after suffering defeat in the semi-finals against the Atlas Lionesses.
