Meet This Super Eagles-Eligible Goalkeeper

There is a 25-year-old goalkeeper born in Japan to a Nigerian father and a Japanese mother who currently plays for the Belgian club Sint-Truidense VV.

He developed his skills at Benfica in Portugal before moving to Belgium, where he has established himself as a regular starter. Despite starring for Japan’s youth teams at the U23 Asian Cup and the Paris Olympics, he has not yet represented their senior squad.

What Next For Gift Orban?

One-time Super Eagles invitee Gift Orban has been brilliant for Amedspor since joining in the summer transfer window in a loan deal from Hoffenheim.

The 24-year-old striker has recorded six goals and one assist in five league appearances for the club this season. Last time out, he scored a hat-trick to lead his side to a 5-0 bashing of former champions Basaksehir.
