Father of Nigerian international Olisa Ndah, Ndubuisi Ndah, has dismissed reports linking his son with a move to Libyan club, Al Shomooa, Afrik Foot reports.
The former Rangers defender has referred to the claims of his son’s move to Libya as a false report and deeply disturbing.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that Ndah officially left Pirates, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-year spell at the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club.

Olisa Ndah: Father debunks Libya switch
Speculation had emerged linking Ndah with a move to a Libyan club, but the player’s father strongly denied the claims.
As reported by Soccer Laduma, he described the reports as “fake news” and said the rumours were deeply disturbing.
Ndah no more Orlando Pirates player
Ndah joined the Soweto-based club from NPFL side Akwa United in 2021 and quickly established himself as a key figure in central defence.
The Sea Robbers confirmed his departure in a statement on Thursday, noting that the decision followed careful discussions between both parties and was made in the spirit of mutual respect.
“The Nigerian international requested an early release from his contract to pursue regular game time elsewhere as he enters the next phase of his career,” the statement read. “Orlando Pirates Football Club would like to thank Olisa for his professionalism, dedication, and service to the Club. We wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”

Meanwhile, Ndah’s social media accounts still feature his former club’s name and photos of him in the Orlando Pirates and Super Eagles jerseys, with no announcement from a new club posted as of now.

The defender is now a free agent and can join another club even if the January transfer window closes before he secures a move. Younger defenders such as Mbokazi and Lebone Seema, coupled with Ndah’s injury setbacks, had limited his opportunities at the club, making this decision mutually beneficial.
