Victor Osimhen has spoken warmly about Juventus ahead of Galatasaray’s crucial Champions League meeting with the Italian giants, Afrik-Foot reports.
Galatasaray travel to Turin on Wednesday for the second leg of their play-off tie against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. The Turkish champions already hold a strong advantage after recording an impressive 5-2 victory in the first leg in Istanbul.
🚨⚪️⚫️ Victor Osimhen: “Juventus is one of the most important clubs, rich in history and a ton of legends have played for this team”.
“Playing here would be a privilege. I’m happy at Gala but you never know in future. 90% of footballers in the world would want to play for Juve”. pic.twitter.com/5GAqaW1Brg

That result means Galatasaray only need to avoid a heavy defeat to progress to the Round of 16 of Europe’s top club competition.
Speaking during Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, Osimhen openly praised Juventus and revealed that talks once took place before his move from Napoli to Galatasaray.

What Victor Osimhen said about Juventus
“Juventus is one of the most important teams in world history,” Osimhen said.
“As someone who has played at the highest levels and shared the pitch with many legendary players, I can say this.
“Before Galatasaray stepped in, there might have been a chance for me to come here; however, where I am now is very important to me.

“If I ever have the opportunity to play in Italy, I would be very happy; Juventus is a truly great club and a team that many players would want to play for.
“But right now, I love the club I’m a part of, I’m very happy here, and I’m fighting for Galatasaray, the club I’m wholeheartedly committed to. Nobody knows what the future holds; but for today, my only focus is here.”
European giants monitoring Osimhen’s future
Osimhen’s remarks are likely to increase speculation about his long-term future despite his strong commitment to Galatasaray.
The Turkish side only completed a permanent deal for the Nigerian striker last summer, paying a club-record €75 million fee and tying him down to a contract running until 2029. However, his performances have continued to attract attention across Europe.

Juventus are believed to remain interested in signing the Super Eagles forward, while Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Barcelona are also closely monitoring developments.
Reports suggest representatives from those clubs will be present in Turin to watch Osimhen during Wednesday’s decisive Champions League clash. Another standout display could further strengthen his reputation as one of Europe’s most complete centre-forwards; powerful, quick and decisive in front of goal.
The former Lille striker has been in excellent form this season, registering six goals and two assists in just seven Champions League appearances.
