The win gives Osimhen his first trophy in Turkey, with Galatasaray also in the hunt for the Süper Lig title.

Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray wrapped up the win in what has been a brilliant season for the Istanbul giants.

Barış Alper Yılmaz put them ahead as early as the 5th minute to assert their dominance in a first half that saw a brief scare for Osimhen, who went down clutching his ankle but was able to return to the pitch.

The second half belonged to Osimhen as he grabbed a brace to add to his impressive goal tally this season.

Barely a minute after the restart, Osimhen scored his first of the night and Galatasaray’s second.

He then struck again in the 63rd minute to take his tally to 35 goals in all competitions – a new record for a foreign player in a single Turkish top-flight season.

With that goal, Osimhen broke the 24-year-old record held by Brazilian striker Mario Jardel as his stock continues to rise in Turkey.
