Sani Suleman to Al Qadsiah: Details of €8m offer & why Nigeria winger will leave RB Leipzig

Flying Eagles winger Sani Suleman has been strongly linked with a transfer from German side RB Leipzig to Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah, Afrik-Foot reports.

​Al Qadsiah have been in the Saudi Arabian top flight since 2024, and they have emerged as a major challenger to established giants like Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Nassr.

​This summer, their marquee signing is Tijjani Reijnders. They paid Manchester City €61 million for his services, and he has already enjoyed a fine start, helping the club to two wins in two starts.

​Now, Suleman is at the very top of their wishlist, and they are going all out to secure his signature from RB Leipzig.

​Breakdown of Al Qadsiah’s Offer For Sani Suleman

​Al Qadsiah are already in negotiations with RB Leipzig over a potential transfer. The Saudi Arabian club are offering €8 million for the youngster, plus add-ons.

​This is almost double his €5 million valuation—the same fee RB Leipzig paid AS Trencin for him in January this year. However, a potential stumbling block is that the €8 million package includes add-ons. Naturally, for a player who still has five years left on his contract, Leipzig could demand a much higher guaranteed fee.

​Why Sani Suleman Will Be Willing To Leave RB Leipzig

​Sani Suleman joined RB Leipzig from AS Trencin in January. During his time at AS Trencin, he was absolutely brilliant, putting his quality on full display. Suleman is quick, an excellent dribbler, and a proper hard worker on and off the ball.

​Unfortunately, since moving to Leipzig, he has not played a single competitive game for the senior team. For a player who is still developing and backs himself to perform at a high level, he will understandably be unhappy with the situation. Even the departure of Yan Diomande, which was expected to open doors for him, has not helped his cause.

​Over the past three weeks, reports have suggested that RB Leipzig are looking to move him on, and a switch to Al Qadsiah would benefit him in several ways.

​Moving to Saudi Arabia would earn him a significant increase in playing time. He would also share the pitch with top-quality talent such as Reijnders, Nacho Fernandez, Julian Quinones, and former Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui.

​Aside from his development and playing opportunities, a massive draw for Suleman will be the money. The former Flying Eagles star currently earns a gross salary of €470,000 per year. With Saudi clubs renowned for lucrative packages, Suleman would undoubtedly secure a substantial pay rise.

​For an African player, turning down that kind of money will be difficult, making a deal quite likely. With the Saudi Arabian transfer window set to close on Sunday, September 6, both clubs have roughly a week to finalize the move.
