Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi’s former Manager Sean Dyche, has revealed Nottingham Forest were in the right to part ways with him, Afrik Foot reports.
The 54-year-old was appointed at tumultous time for the Reds, after they’d already done away with two managers in Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou.
The decision came in October 2025, and Sean Dyche oversaw 25 games at the City Ground, winning ten games and drawing five.
Following Forest’s goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the club, in an official statement, mentioned they won’t continue with the former Everton head coach going forward.

What Sean Dyche said before Nottingham Forest exit
While many felt Evangelos Marinakis’ decision to part ways with the ex-Watford man was unfair, Dyche disagrees.
He revealed the club were well within their rights to part ways with any manager who wasn’t delivering good results.
“The owner has been fair to me, without a shadow of a doubt. If anyone chooses to change in football now, that’s their decision. We’ve all seen it,” the former Burnley coach said in quotes revealed by the Lancashire Telegraph.

“People can demand change, and then it’s always whether they change or not. I just work very hard. I care about this club. I’ve made that clear. I’m working very hard.
“If the owner wants to make a change, then that’s up to him, and that’s the way football is now, that’s just the reality of it.
“But I’m not questioning the owner here. He’s been absolutely fair with me from the beginning to the end, and I’ve been fair with him and told him the truth every step of the way,” Sean Dyche concluded.

Vitor Pereira has been linked with the vacancy at the City Ground. However, Forest’s priority is Premier League safety as they’re currently 17th on the Premier League table, three points above 18th-place West Ham United.
