Fulham boss Marco Silva has made an exciting prediction about Super Eagles midfielderq Alex Iwobi's potential this season.
As the Cottagers are preparing for their next Premier League fixture against Wolves, Silva believes the Nigerian international is on the brink of delivering his best campaign yet in England’s top flight.
Iwobi, who joined Fulham after his time at Everton, has quickly become one of the key players in Silva's squad.
The 28-year-old midfielder has been instrumental in Fulham's solid start to the 2024-25 season.
Fulham boss predicts big things for Iwobi this season
With back-to-back victories over Brentford and Crystal Palace, Fulham sits comfortably in seventh place, just a handful of points off the Champions League spots.
Iwobi’s contribution, with two goals and two assists, has been crucial to the team's success, and Silva is confident that the best is yet to come.
Iwobi's performances this season have been impressive, and he currently ranks among the Premier League’s top chance creators, with only a few names above him in the statistics.
“For me, last season was the best season from him in the Premier League, in my opinion, and I’m sure that he’s going to be better this season,” Silva told the club’s website.
“I know him very well. I brought him to Everton, and when we got the chance to have him with us here at Fulham, it was a moment for us to go to sign him.
“First, he is a really versatile player. He can play in many positions, and I know where he’s capable and where he feels he can perform better.
“He likes to be in the middle of the pitch, but now he’s playing more on the right, where he’s capable, like he showed against Crystal Palace.”
