Super Eagles stars Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke face the risk of relegation to the second tier of La Liga next season, Afrik Foot reports.
Sevilla lost to Osasuna at the Estadio El Sadar yesterday evening, their 17th of the season, the joint-most in the Spanish top flight.
Neal Maupay opened the scoring in the 69th minute, before goals from Raul Garcia and a 99th-minute striker from Alejandro Catena compounded Sevilla’s problems.

Sevilla: Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke in tumultuous waters
Despite Adams being introduced as a late substitute, he had limited opportunity to influence the game after coming on in the closing stages, while Ejuke remained on the bench.
The Super Eagles striker is Sevilla’s top scorer this season, but has seen his minutes diminish under new coach Luis Garcia.
For Adams and Ejuke, the campaign has been one of highs and lows. Earlier in the season, both Nigerians played prominent roles in positive results, including key moments in wins over Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona before the October international break.
However, Sevilla’s inconsistency and defensive problems have contributed to their downfall.

New head coach Luis García Plaza was brought in to stabilise performances after the club endured poor form under Matías Almeyda.
However, results have not improved as quickly as hoped, and the new manager himself admitted he’s worn out, as per Albert Ortega, saying he’s put in so much work and gotten very little results, a new sequence for the 53-year-old.
As it stands, Sevilla are just inside the drop zone with a string of tough fixtures ahead.
With five La Liga matches left, every point is vital. They now sit a point below safety, and momentum is firmly against them, as they’ve secured just three since the turn of the year.
