Nigeria international Victor Boniface could barely contain his excitement after Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in more than two decades on Tuesday night, Afrik-Foot reports.
The title race finally swung decisively in Arsenal’s favour after Manchester City were held to a dramatic 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side travelled to the south coast knowing only a victory would keep the race alive heading into the final weekend of the season. Instead, Bournemouth stunned the defending champions in the 39th minute when teenage forward Eli Junior Kroupi fired the home side ahead.
City pushed desperately for a response and eventually found an equaliser deep into stoppage time through Erling Haaland, but Bournemouth survived the closing moments to secure a draw that mathematically handed the title to Arsenal.

The result left Mikel Arteta’s men four points clear at the top with one game remaining. Arsenal now sit on 82 points after 37 matches, while City remain on 78.
It is Arsenal’s first Premier League triumph since Arsène Wenger guided the famous ‘Invincibles’ side to the title during the 2003/04 campaign. After painful runner-up finishes in recent seasons, Arteta has finally returned the trophy to north London.
The Gunners will now travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in what has effectively become a title celebration before attention shifts to their UEFA Champions League Final clash against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30.

Boniface celebrates like a lifelong Arsenal fan
Boniface followed every twist of the title-deciding night on social media and reacted exactly like millions of nervous Arsenal supporters around the world.
When Bournemouth took the lead and City struggled to break through, the Bayer Leverkusen striker posted in Nigerian Pidgin: “He no far again oo. God abeg ooo.”
Haaland’s late equaliser briefly threatened to spoil the celebrations and Boniface immediately responded with a worried: “Ah.”
But moments later, when the final whistle confirmed Arsenal as champions, the Super Eagles forward finally let out his emotions with a simple post: “Finally”.

The 25-year-old has never hidden his deep affection for Arsenal. Boniface once described the club as “team wey person don dey support since small,” explaining that he has followed the Gunners since childhood.
He also confirmed his loyalty during an appearance on The Obi One Podcast with former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi, where he admitted Arsenal’s long wait for the title had become personal for him.
Boniface has built a reputation for entertaining supporters online with emotional matchday reactions and humorous exchanges with fans. Arsenal supporters especially enjoy his unfiltered celebrations, often treating him like one of their own online ultras.
While celebrating Arsenal’s historic triumph, Boniface is also preparing for an important summer in his own career. The striker recently confirmed he will return to Bayer Leverkusen after an injury-hit loan spell at Werder Bremen. The former Union SG ace will look to rediscover his best form ahead of the new season and force his way back into the Super Eagles squad.
