Former Super Eagles and Juventus midfielder Sunday Olise has urged Arsenal to excuse themselves from a ‘quadruple’ chase if they want something substantial this season, Afrik Foot reports.
Mikel Arteta’s side are gunning for titles on all four fronts. The Gunners are currently top of the English Premier League.
They’re also in the Carabao Cup final, the FA Cup, and are looking to edge Bayer Leverkusen this week to get into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Oliseh warns Arsenal against falling for ‘media’ trap
Given that the majority of the players in Arsenal’s first team are yet to win a piece of silverware with the club, Oliseh opines that a run for four major titles isn’t reasonable, as a loss in the Carabao Cup final might affect the team’s mental fortitude.
“This is a very special period for Arsenal,” the AFCON 1994 winner said on the Sunday Oliseh Global Football Insights show.

“This so-called ‘quadruple’ hunt, for me, is a media trap. It’s a propaganda.
“If they don’t win the quadruple, what was meant to be a great season will be swept under the bridge, it won’t be viewed as successful.
“They have to be smart. It’s a trap, and if they fall into it, they’ll live to regret it,” Sunday Oliseh concluded.

Arsenal are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, although Manchester City still have a game in hand.
