Super Eagles and Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers has come under criticism over his tendency to miss big chances despite being the club’s second top scorer this season.
The 29-year-old is in his debut season with the Scottish giants and is enjoying a prolific campaign in front of goal, having contributed 17 goals and eight assists in all competitions.
However, Dessers has often been in the spotlight over his wastefulness and his lack of involvement in the team’s general play. Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller is the latest to find issues with the former Feyenoord player's style of play despite his impressive numbers.

‘Rangers fans want to see better from Dessers’
Miller, who was capped 69 times by Scotland before retiring to become a manager, believes although Dessers is close to reaching 20 goals for Rangers this season, his goals do not reflect his actual performances.
The 44-year-old said Rangers boss Philippe Clement could be forced to drop the Nigeria international due to his inconsistency, as the fans want to see more from him.

“If he can break the 20-goal mark I’m sure he’ll look back and think that’s actually decent numbers, but it’s the bigger picture, it’s been the ones that he’s missed and his overall performances. I’m sure Philippe Clement and the Rangers fans will want to see better.”
Super Eagles forward in tricky situation at Rangers despite prolific season
Dessers finds himself in a tricky situation at Rangers, where manager Clement has openly expressed his desire to see the striker do more than just score goals.

Unfortunately, the 29-year-old is a target man and although he provides a threat up front, he doesn’t contribute much when the team has its back against the wall.
The former NAC Breda and Genk forward was dropped from the starting line-up during Rangers’ goalless draw against Dundee on Wednesday, and didn’t do much when he was brought on in the second half.
Dessers still remains Rangers’ most reliable striker but Clement’s position on wanting to see his forwards involved more in the game could have far-reaching consequences for the Nigerian.
