Several Super Eagles players and others eligible to represent Nigeria were in action on Wednesday night. Here is a simple round-up of how they performed across Europe as compiled by Afrik-Foot.
In Italy, Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored his first goal of the season as Lazio drew 2-2 with Atalanta in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg at the Stadio Olimpico.
Dele-Bashiru gave Lazio the lead early in the second half. After receiving a smart pass from Daniel Maldini, he stayed calm inside the box and finished neatly. It was his first goal in all competitions this season.

Atalanta quickly equalised through Mario Pasalic in the 51st minute. Lazio thought they had won it when Boulaye Dia scored late on, but Yunus Musah struck in stoppage time to make it 2-2. The semi-final is now evenly balanced ahead of the second leg.
In Germany, Jordan Torunarigha came on in the second half as Hamburger SV lost 1-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. Christian Michel Kofane scored the only goal. Nathan Tella missed the game through injury.
In France, Tochukwu Nnadi stayed on the bench as Marseille were knocked out of the Coupe de France by Toulouse on penalties. The match ended 2-2 at the Stade Orange Velodrome before Toulouse won 4-3 in the shootout.

Super Eagles: Aina shines at Etihad as Osula plays hero
In England, Nigeria-eligible star William Osula was the match-winner for Newcastle United in a thrilling 2-1 victory over Manchester United.
After Anthony Gordon’s penalty and Casemiro’s equaliser, Osula came off the bench to score a dramatic 90th-minute winner with a fine solo effort.
Ola Aina delivered an outstanding performance as Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 away at Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

City led through Antoine Semenyo before Forest equalised. Aina made a powerful run down the right and sent in a cross that led to Morgan Gibbs-White’s clever finish.
Rodri restored City’s lead with a header, but Forest refused to give up. Aina won the ball strongly in the 76th minute, starting a move that ended with Elliot Anderson curling home a brilliant equaliser.
Elsewhere, Tosin Adarabioyo came off the bench as Chelsea thrashed Aston Villa 4-1. After Douglas Luiz scored early for Villa, João Pedro hit a hat-trick and Cole Palmer added another for Chelsea.
