Super Eagles-eligible winger Jordon Ibe is set to appear before a UK court following his arrest for an alleged assault in December, Afrik-Foot reports.
Ibe was on his way to court on January 30 for the alleged use of fake prescriptions when he was picked up by the Metropolitan Police at Luton Airport.
However, he was later released on bail. According to TalkSport, he is scheduled to appear in court on March 3 after being charged with actual bodily harm (ABH) in relation to an alleged assault on December 14.

The former Liverpool star currently resides in Bulgaria, where he plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in the efbet League. With this latest legal issue, he will have to travel between Bulgaria and the UK in the coming weeks.
How Jordon Ibe Snubbed the Super Eagles to Represent England
Ibe burst onto the football scene in 2012 as one of the game’s brightest young stars. He joined Liverpool from Wycombe and delivered several impressive performances for the club. Ibe was known for his incredible pace, braveness, and grit.
However, due to the high quality of players in the squad, he went on loan to Birmingham City and Derby County before eventually joining Bournemouth permanently in 2016.

Born in England to Nigerian parents, Ibe was eligible to represent both countries. The Nigeria Football Federation pushed to get him to don the green and white of the Super Eagles in 2015, but he declined the invitation as he was focused on his career with the English youth teams at the time.
He represented England at the U18, U19, U20, and U21 levels. Unfortunately, he never fulfilled his hope of playing for the Three Lions senior team.
His career has also not followed the trajectory he would have hoped for. Bournemouth was the last major club he signed for, and he was released at the expiration of his contract in 2020.

Since then, he has had stints with Adanaspor and non-league clubs such as Ebbsfleet United, Hayes & Yeading United, Hungerford Town, and Sittingbourne. He only recently returned to top-tier football after signing for Lokomotiv Sofia last year.
