The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will officially unveil Éric Chelle as the new head coach of the Super Eagles on Monday.
The event will take place at 11:00 AM in the Media Conference Room of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Chelle succeeds Austin Eguavoen, who served as interim head coach following Bruno Labbadia's failure to assume duties despite being announced as the Super Eagles coach.
The 47-year-old Franco-Malian's appointment was confirmed last Tuesday by the NFF Executive Committee after a recommendation from its Technical and Development Committee.
The NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, expressed optimism about Chelle's tenure, describing him as a fresh and energetic choice.
According to Gusau, Chelle represents the “new thinking and positive attitude” needed to lead the Super Eagles through their six remaining matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
At the unveiling, the NFF will also announce the names of Chelle's assistant coaches. It has been reported that he will come in with three assistants who currently work with him.
His coaching team is expected to oversee the Super Eagles B squad at the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) in East Africa before shifting their focus entirely to the World Cup qualifying campaign.

The qualifiers resume in March with matches against Rwanda (away) and Zimbabwe (home).

Chelle brings a strong track record to the Super Eagles.
He previously guided Mali’s Eagles to the brink of the semi-finals at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and recently managed MC Oran, a top Algerian club.
Before departing Algeria for Abuja, Chelle bid an emotional farewell to MC Oran and its fans, expressing gratitude in a heartfelt message.
His arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Super Eagles as they aim to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
