The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face FIFA World Cup debutants Jordan in March, Afrik-Foot reports.
This comes as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has agreed with the Jordanian footvall association to set up two friendly matches in the capital city Amman. The game have been scheduled to be played between March 23 and 31.
The games will serve as preparatory fixtures for the Asian country who will be participating in the Mundial for the first time. Recall that the Arab nation beat Oman 3-0 on June 5, 2025, to book their place at the 2026 finals, and they will be looking to make a mark.

It also comes as the Super Eagles wait for FIFA to rule on their World Cup protest, with the decision set to be made today, February 16.
Interestingly, Jordan are coached by Moroccan Jamal Sellami, who has done a great job since he was appointed in June 2024.
The Super Eagles enter the game as favorites due to their superior quality. Most of the Jordanian players ply their trades in the country. So they do not have many known stars unlike most of the teams who will be participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Will The FIFA Ruling Affect The Friendly Between Nigeria’s Super Eagles And Jordan?
The NFF filed a complaint on December 15, 2025, after Nigeria lost 4-3 on penalties to DR Congo in the African playoff final the month before.

The Nigerian FA’s complaint is that at least six DR Congo players who played in that game were not eligible after they switched countries.
Earlier, NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi noted that the case had merit and had evidence to back their claim.
If FIFA rules for Nigeria, the Super Eagles will move into the six-team Intercontinental Play-Off in Mexico next month.
That would put the Jordan games in jeopardy, as Nigeria would need to prepare and stay focused on the playoffs.
