Super Eagles forward Moses Usor is a major injury doubt for LASK’s Champions League clash against Liverpool on Wednesday, according to head coach Didi Kühbauer.
Usor has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining the Austrian club in 2023, taking his game to another level and establishing himself as one of LASK’s most important players.
The Super Eagles winger played a crucial role in the club’s league and cup double triumph, helping them end their 61-year wait for the Austrian league title. That triumph also secured qualification for the Champions League for the first time in their history, after they overcame Scottish champions Celtic in the final qualifying round.

LASK began their Champions League campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Greek side AEK Athens. They will now face Liverpool in their second game of the competition as they look to take advantage of the English side’s difficult form and secure a positive result.
However, the Austrian side head into the encounter with uncertainty surrounding the availability of one of their key players, with Usor facing a race against time to recover from an injury.

The Super Eagles winger sustained a shoulder injury during LASK’s 2-0 defeat to Rapid Wien, suffering the problem just a few minutes after coming on as a substitute and his involvement in Wednesday’s encounter is now in doubt.
Speaking ahead of the match, LASK head coach Didi Kühbauer confirmed that Usor had yet to recover fully from the injury, leaving his participation in serious doubt.
“With Mo, it’s the shoulder joint that is a bit injured. I hope it won’t take too long”, Kühbauer said, via Rotowire.
Super Eagles star hopes to return to action soon
Usor could miss the Liverpool clash as a result of the injury, although he will be hoping to return to action as soon as possible.
The Super Eagles forward was recently in action during the international break, when he made his debut for Nigeria. He marked the occasion with a goal in a 2-1 victory over Madagascar, making an impressive start to his international career.

The 24-year-old will now hope that his shoulder injury is not serious and that he can recover quickly to return to action for LASK.
Usor will also be eager to build on his impressive Super Eagles debut and continue his strong form at club level once he is fit again.
