Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has earned praise for his qualities from his Ajax teammate Dies Janse.
The big 25-year-old striker joined the Godenzonen in a season-long loan in the summer transfer window, and he has done well, contributing six goals and two assists in nine games.
In a recent interview, Janse said that training with a quality player like Arokodare has really helped his game as a defender and given him confidence.
“The training level at Ajax is very high. New players have joined where I can learn a lot from. So I’m in a good place to develop myself further”, Janse said.
“Actually, there is something to be gained in every area: physically, turning and turning and getting stronger. Well, if I can stand against Tolu, that’s only good. That’s really a beast.
“And that’s why it’s nice that those kinds of players are added. You learn from that every day.”

Two Super Falcons stars were confirmed to have switched clubs yesterday. Osinachi Ohale, who just retired from international football, has moved to Como.
She had been at Pachuca for three years and played over 100 games for the club. However, she called time on her stint there at the end of last summer.
This move to Como will be her second stint in Italy after previously playing for Roma in 2020.
Meanwhile, another Super Falcons star Gift Monday has also switched clubs. She has left Washington Spirit for Boston Legacy.
Thank you for all your contributions to the club, Monday💛 We have traded Gift Monday to Boston Legacy FC in exchange for $500k in transfer threshold funds. https://t.co/DMAkJpqOfi
