Super Eagles strikers Paul Onuachu and Terem Moffi enjoyed a memorable Friday night in Europe, scoring important goals in Turkey and Portugal, Afrik-Foot reports.
It was even more so a night to remember for Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu who grabbed a first career brace in the Turkish Super Lig.
In the Turkish top flight, Trabzonspor continued their strong title push with a convincing 3-1 victory over Fatih Karagümrük S.K..

Onuachu once again proved decisive, scoring for the seventh consecutive match. The towering striker opened the scoring in the 20th minute when he rose highest to head home a superb cross from Ozan Tufan.
Karagümrük responded quickly as Daniele Verde equalised eight minutes later, leaving the match finely balanced at halftime.
Early in the second half, defender Nwaiwu produced a special moment. He powered in a flying header to restore Trabzonspor’s lead and register his first goal for the club.

Just three minutes later, the Nigerian defender doubled his tally after being set up by Onuachu, sealing an impressive 3-1 win.
The result keeps Trabzonspor firmly in the title race. They remain third with 51 points, now only four behind league leaders Galatasaray S.K., who still have a game in hand.
Trabzonspor will next focus on the Turkish Cup clash against İstanbul Başakşehir F.K., while Karagümrük face Fethiyespor in their own cup fixture.
Super Eagles star Moffi announces himself with first Porto goal
In Portugal, striker Terem Moffi marked a major personal milestone by scoring his first goal for FC Porto in a 3–1 victory over F.C. Arouca at the famous Estádio do Dragão.
Moffi, who joined Porto on loan from OGC Nice during the winter transfer window, wrapped up the win deep into stoppage time.

After receiving a neat pass from William Gomes, the Nigerian slid in to finish past goalkeeper Ignacio De Arruabarrena in the 95th minute.
Earlier in the match, Porto had gone ahead through Oskar Pietuszewski, before Nais Djouahra equalised for Arouca with 20 minutes remaining. Gomes later restored Porto’s lead from the penalty spot before Moffi added the final touch.
The goal is an important step for the Nigerian forward, who has had to recover from a traumatic experience at OGC Nice before leaving France.

Since arriving in January, Moffi has been slowly introduced into the Porto squad, making brief appearances against C.D. Nacional, Rio Ave F.C., and Arouca.
Coming on as a substitute for Deniz Gül, Moffi showed sharp movement and confidence in front of goal, clear signs that the Super Eagles striker is rediscovering his rhythm.
Moffi will look to make a bigger impact when Porto trade tackles with Sporting Lisbon in the semifinal of the Taça de Portugal on Tuesday.
