Super Eagles defender Gabriel Osho scored his first goal of the season as AJ Auxerre held RC Lens to a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Stade de l'Abbé Deschamps in a Ligue 1 clash on Saturday.
Auxerre, eager to end a two-game winless streak, found themselves trailing in the 22nd minute when Neil El Aynaoui coolly finished to put Lens ahead.
However, the hosts responded swiftly, with Gaëtan Perrin equalizing just nine minutes later to reignite their hopes of securing their first victory in three matches.
Despite Auxerre’s momentum, Lens reclaimed the lead on the stroke of half-time.
An assist from Przemysław Frankowski set up M’Bala Nzola, who slotted home to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage heading into the break.
The second half saw Auxerre emerge with renewed determination, pressing relentlessly in search of an equalizer.
Their efforts paid off in the 73rd minute, when Lassine Sinayoko assisted Gabriel Osho, who scored to tie the game.
No more goals were scored in the games as it ended 2-2.
It was a special moment for the Nigerian defender, marking his first Ligue 1 goal since joining Auxerre from English side Luton Town.
