Turkish Super Lig club Amedspor are closing in on a move for Genk and Super Eagles winger Yira Sor, with talks between the two clubs progressing, Afrik-Foot reports.
The newly-promoted Turkish Süper Lig side already signed Gift Orban earlier this week, and they are looking to to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.
Sor, who earned his senior Super Eagles debut earlier this year, would arrive with one year left on his contract and a market value that has dipped to around €2.5 million after a stop-start spell in Belgium.

If the deal eventually works out, here are three things Amedspor can expect if the deal goes through.
Yira Sor: What Super Eagles Star Will Offer Amedspor
1. Genuine Top Pace

Yira Sor’s biggest selling point is his speed. During a Belgian league match against Gent last season, he reached 37.7 km/h — a mark that stood as the Belgian Pro League’s fastest recorded speed over the past two campaigns.
For a newly promoted Amedspor side who will not be with the ball most of the time and will be looking to hurt teams in transition and stretch defences in behind, Sor’s kind of explosiveness on the counter is a genuine weapon, even before factoring in end product.
2. A Versatile Attacking Option

Although he is usually deployed on the left flank, Sor is comfortable operating on the right wing and just off the striker as well. That flexibility matters for a club navigating their first season back in the top flight, where injuries and rotation needs can force tactical adjustments .
With Sor, Amedspor get a player who can slot into multiple positions across the front line rather than a rigid attacker who is only prolific on one side of the pitch.
3. Modest Goal Contributions, Disrupted By Injuries

Sor’s numbers at Genk won’t blow anyone away, as he registered just 14 goals and 7 assists across 85 league appearances over four seasons. Last season, he registered just six goals and 1 assist in 43 games across all competitions,
One major problem with the 26-year-old is his stop-start output. But that has come against a trail of injury problems that have limited his consistency in Belgium.
Amedspor are banking on a fresh start for Sor. If he is fully fit for the entire or most of the season, he will definitely be a problem for most Super Lig sides.
