While AC Milan’s interest in Victor Boniface has been established, the Bayer Leverkusen striker is not the only Nigeria international on the radar of the Italian giants.
Milan, with new boss Massimiliano Allegri, are keen on a rebuild this summer, and have declared a number of players surplus to requirements, including winger Samuel Chukwueze, and have a handful of additions already.
They are, however, most keen on a centre-forward, as Allegri has been known to favour a two-striker system. Boniface figures at the top of their wishlist, but the Rossoneri’s contingency plan reportedly involves another Super Eagles striker.

Milan eyeing Arokodare if Victor Boniface operation fails
In the event that Leverkusen keep hold of Boniface, Tolu Arokodare could be the beneficiary. The Genk striker has apparently been offered to AC Milan by his agent.

Arokodare, who won both the Golden Boot and Ebony Shoe last season in Belgian football, is expected to move this summer, and would cost less to extract than his international teammate, being valued currently at around €18 million.
Also mooted is Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, but financial considerations would make such a transfer difficult to actualise.
