Victor Osimhen: Bayern Munich’s ₦187bn offer has landed on Galatasaray’s table – Engin

German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a major move for Victor Osimhen, with the Galatasaray striker emerging as a possible long-term successor to their current forward Harry Kane, Afrik-Foot reports.

The Bundesliga champions are believed to be planning ahead as Kane approaches the later years of his career. While the England captain remains a key figure at Bayern, club officials are said to be preparing for the future and identifying players who could eventually take over the role of leading striker.

Osimhen has quickly become one of the most talked-about names on their shortlist.

The Nigerian forward has built a strong reputation in European football over the last few seasons. After rising to prominence in France with Lille and later becoming a Serie A champion with Napoli, the 27-year-old moved permanently to Galatasaray last summer.

Since arriving in Turkey, he has continued to show his qualities as a powerful, fast and clinical striker. This season he has scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 28 matches across all competitions, helping Galatasaray remain competitive both domestically and in Europe.

His performances have once again caught the attention of top clubs across the continent.

According to reports from FootMercato, Bayern Munich are seriously considering the Nigerian international as part of their long-term squad planning. Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is said to be a long-time admirer of Osimhen, dating back to the striker’s early days in Belgian football with Charleroi.

The Bayern leadership is reportedly studying several possible scenarios regarding Kane’s future. If the English striker eventually leaves or slows down due to age, the German champions want to ensure they already have a high-level replacement lined up.

For that reason, Osimhen is now being discussed internally as a potential future leader of Bayern’s attack.

However, bringing him to Munich would require a huge financial commitment, and that leads to the second major talking point surrounding the striker.

Sinan Engin claims ₦187bn Victor Osimhen offer has been made

Former Beşiktaş midfielder Sinan Engin has added fuel to the growing transfer speculation by claiming that Bayern Munich have already made a massive offer to Galatasaray.

Speaking on the Asist Analiz YouTube channel, Engin suggested that Bayern have submitted a proposal worth €115 million (around ₦187 billion) for the Nigerian forward.

According to Engin, the German club see Osimhen as the perfect replacement if Kane leaves.

Bayern Munich has made a €115 million offer for Victor Osimhen,” Engin revealed.

Harry Kane is leaving, and they are considering Osimhen as his replacement. I heard there’s a €115 million offer. In the eyes of Galatasaray fans, Osimhen’s price is immeasurable.”

If the claim proves accurate, it would represent one of the biggest transfer offers ever made for a player currently playing in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Yet completing such a deal would not be easy.

Galatasaray consider Osimhen one of the most important players in their squad. Supporters in Istanbul see him as a symbol of the club’s ambition to compete with Europe’s top teams. Losing him would be a huge sporting and emotional blow.

Financial demands could also complicate matters. Reports suggest Osimhen earns around €20 million net per year, a figure that only a few clubs in world football can realistically afford.

Interestingly, other major European clubs appear quiet at the moment. Paris Saint-Germain are not currently pursuing the striker, partly because of the high cost of a transfer and salary package.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have not made any recent moves.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia remain interested, but Osimhen has reportedly shown little enthusiasm for leaving Europe at this stage of his career.

For now, the situation remains uncertain. Bayern Munich are thinking about life after Harry Kane, and Victor Osimhen’s name is clearly part of that conversation.

Whether the reported €115 million offer becomes a real transfer battle in the coming months is something the European football world will watch closely.
