Victor Osimhen: Fenerbahce chief issues heartbreaking transfer update on Super Eagles star

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is the standard for Fenerbahce boardroom meetings as they look to claim the Turkish Super Lig title next season, Afrik Foot reports.

Osimhen spent his second season winning the league title, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists. In his first season, he won the league’s golden boot, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists.

In both campaigns, the Yellow Canaries finished in second place. Now, they feel it’s their time to return to the top of Turkish Football, and have set out on a mission to build a team that can stop Victor Osimhen.

Fenerbahce set to vie against Victor Osimhen next season

One of the club’s board members, Mahmoud Uslu, admitted he wants Osimhen to join Fenerbahce, but doubts the former Napoli man will make the move to the other style of Istanbul.

With that reality, Uslu wants a Fenerbahce squad that can step up against the threat the Super Eagles striker possesses.

“For next season, we promise the championship. It’s hero or zero. If there is no championship in Fenerbahçe this year, there will be a greater chaos. That’s why it falls under this responsibility,” the Turkish businessman told HT Spor, in quotes revealed by Kıbrıs.

“We must set up a team that will defeat Galatasaray. We’re gonna do it. We will tell Galatasaray to stop the championships. We will do the same this year as we did in 2001.

“We will build a squad that can stop a team with Osimhen. If we make Kadıköy unbeatable, we will be champions.

“Who wouldn’t want a player like Osimhen? But he won’t come to us. There is a certain destination in his mind,” Mahmoud Uslu concluded.

Osimhen has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, but it is currently unknown if he’ll make a move this summer.
