Former Juventus forward Fabrizio Ravanelli believes a bold move for Victor Osimhen could be the statement signing that drives the Turin club back to the summit of Italian football, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Old Lady have not lifted the Serie A title since 2020 and their last Champions League triumph came in 1996, despite holding a record 36 Scudetto crowns. This season, their wait for domestic glory looks set to continue, with Juventus currently fourth in the table and trailing leaders Inter Milan by 12 points after 24 matches.
While Juve boast the second-best attacking record in the league, their 41 goals still leave them well behind Inter’s far more ruthless output. For Ravanelli, the solution is simply to bring in a proven elite striker capable of turning pressure into silverware.

Speaking to TuttoSport, the former Italy international made no secret of his admiration for Osimhen, describing the Galatasaray forward as the ideal striker to lead a new era in Turin.
“I’d go for a top player (as a Juventus striker). If I could choose, I’d say Osimhen,” Ravenelli said.
“Juve must give him a try because he’d be a perfect fit for Spalletti’s game, who knows him well and would get the most out of him.
“Osimhen would be a great signing: he’s strong in the air, quick and can take control of the space on his own and attack the depth.
“Plus, when not in possession, he can also put pressure on opposing defenders; there are few forwards like him.”

Victor Osimhen and Spalletti, A familiar partnership
Ravanelli’s confidence is rooted in history.
Victor Osimhen and Luciano Spalletti previously formed a devastating partnership at Napoli, playing central roles in the club’s historic 2023 Scudetto win, their first league title in 33 years.
A reunion in Turin, the former Juve striker believes, could quickly restore a winning mentality. For now, Osimhen remains focused on delivering success in Turkey.

The Nigerian has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, helping Galatasaray sit top of the Super Lig and secure a place in the Champions League knockout rounds.
Fate has added extra intrigue, with Juventus and Galatasaray set to face each other in Europe this month, a perfect stage for Osimhen to showcase exactly why he is being touted as Juve’s missing piece. His past record against the Turin giants only strengthens the case.
During his time in Italy, Osimhen faced Juventus seven times, registering two goals and two assists, while leading his side to five victories and just two defeats.
If he shines again in the Champions League, Ravanelli’s call for Juventus to break the bank may soon grow louder, with Galatasaray already opening the door for such a transfer.
