Nigeria international Victor Osimhen delivered yet another outstanding performance as Galatasaray defeated Alanyaspor 3-1 in Saturday’s Turkish Süper Lig encounter, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Super Eagles striker produced one goal and one assist in a demanding contest where the league leaders had to work hard before securing victory.
Galatasaray took the lead just before half-time when Sacha Boey finished off a flowing team move to make it 1-0 at the break. The visitors responded quickly after the restart, as Steve Mounié rose highest to head home an equaliser four minutes into the second half.

The turning point arrived shortly before the hour mark. Osimhen attempted an acrobatic bicycle kick inside the penalty area, and although the effort did not go in, Lucas Torreira reacted fastest to the loose ball, controlling with his first touch and scoring with his second to restore Galatasaray’s advantage.
Osimhen then sealed the win in the 83rd minute after goalkeeper Paulo Victor misplaced a pass while trying to play out from the back. The Nigerian calmly rounded the veteran keeper before rolling the ball into an empty net, confirming another important three points.

“Is Osimhen a human or a joke? This guy is everywhere!”
Numbers that explain Victor Osimhen’s dominance
Osimhen’s latest display continues a remarkable run of form for club and country.
Since joining Galatasaray, the forward has registered elite attacking numbers: 66 matches, 54 goals and 11 assists for 65 goal contributions. Even more impressive is his recent consistency: Osimhen has been directly involved in 10 goals in his last six matches, scoring four times and providing six assists.
Galatasaray’s attacking strength under coach Okan Buruk is also reflected in their home dominance, with the champions scoring at least three goals in all ten league victories at home this season. Their aggressive pressing style has made them one of Europe’s most dangerous sides after winning possession high up the pitch, ranking among the continent’s top teams in goals created from such situations.
The victory moves Galatasaray onto 58 points, five ahead of Fenerbahçe S.K., while Trabzonspor sit third with 51 points.
Both sides will meet again on Tuesday in the Turkish Cup, where Galatasaray will look to continue their momentum, while Alanyaspor, led by coach João Pereira, aim to respond after another painful defeat to the league leaders.
