Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen remains the most valuable player in the Turkish Süper Lig, but another Nigerian has made a huge jump up the market-value rankings, Afrik-Foot reports.
Transfermarkt’s latest update has placed the Galatasaray striker at €65 million, keeping him comfortably at the top of the league’s valuation table despite a €10 million decrease.
However, Osimhen is not the only Nigerian whose market value has attracted attention. Trabzonspor defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has enjoyed the biggest increase in the latest update, jumping from €10 million to €18 million after an €8 million rise.

Here is where the two Nigerians feature among the league’s most valuable players.
1. Victor Osimhen — €65m
Osimhen remains in a league of his own. The Galatasaray striker is valued at €65 million, which is €25 million more than the players immediately below him.
That is despite Transfermarkt reducing his valuation by €10 million in the latest update.

The Nigerian remains the only Süper Lig player above the €60 million mark and is still comfortably ahead of Galatasaray teammate Rafael Leão and Fenerbahçe forward Mason Greenwood, who are both valued at €40 million.
Osimhen’s position at the summit is also notable because the latest update covers 239 Süper Lig players following the summer transfer window.
His €65 million valuation therefore makes him not just the most valuable Nigerian in Turkey, but the most valuable player in the entire division.
Chibuike Nwaiwu — €18m

Nwaiwu is the big Nigerian story from the latest update. The Trabzonspor defender has seen his market value increase by €8 million, from €10 million to €18 million.
That is the biggest increase recorded in the latest Süper Lig market-value update.
The rise is particularly significant because Nwaiwu is only 22 and has become an increasingly important part of Trabzonspor’s defence.
His €18 million valuation now puts him among the most valuable players in the Turkish top flight and makes him one of the biggest Nigerian market-value risers in Europe.
Nwaiwu’s rise also means there is now a €47 million difference between the two highest-valued Nigerians in the league. That gap is very big, but the direction of Nwaiwu’s movement is what stands out. While Osimhen dropped by €10 million, Nwaiwu added €8 million.
The Rest Of The Top 20

Osimhen’s dominance becomes clearer when the full list is considered. Rafael Leão and Mason Greenwood occupy the next two positions at €40 million each, followed by Beşiktaş’s Dušan Vlahović at €32 million.
Galatasaray’s Barış Alper Yılmaz is fifth at €30 million, while Orkun Kökçü and Aleksey Batrakov are both valued at €28 million.
Matteo Guendouzi and Gabriel Sara follow at €27 million apiece, while Lesley Ugochukwu is valued at €22 million. That puts Nwaiwu’s €18 million valuation into perspective.
The Trabzonspor defender is still some distance behind the league’s biggest stars, but his €8 million increase has pushed him into the group of players attracting significant market attention.
