Werder Bremen and Spain midfielder Cameron Puertas has weighed in on the injury problems suffered by Victor Boniface, Afrik Foot reports.
The 25-year-old has a hard time struggling with fitness and weight problems in the Hinrunde, before undergoing surgery in December.
Boniface was presumed to resume action ahead of next season, but his rehabilitation from the knee surgery went well, and he could return to action before the end of the season.

Puertas hopeful for Boniface Werder Bremen return
Puertas joined Daniel Thioune’s side on loan from Al Qadsiah last summer, but only found the back of the net for the first time in the Nodderby against Hamburg last weekend.
Speaking after the win, the Spanish midfielder was delighted to have found the back of the net, but also wished Boniface was on the sidelines to have celebrated the moment with him.
“This was a very special atmosphere, the atmosphere in the stadium was incredible. That made me especially happy for the fans.
“In this mood to score my first goal for the club at home and to make everyone happy here, I was very happy and I am very proud of it,” the 28-year-old said in quotes revealed by Werder Bremen’s official website.

“Boni could help the team very well. He has qualities that not many players have.
“It would be a bonus for us if he were there. He would definitely do the team good.
“For him, the season has really not been easy, just through the knee injury. We sit next to each other in the cabin, exchange ideas and make jokes.
“I wish him all hearted that this will work and that he will be able to finish the season positively,” Puertas concluded.
