Super Eagles and Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez has aired his emotions after donning the green and white jersey of Nigeria, Afrik Foot reports.
The 24-year-old came on for Semi Ajayi at half-time at the Antalya Stadium in Turkiye, as Nigeria secured a 2-1 win over Iran.
Born in London, Fernandez is the last of eight siblings, but he believes representing the three-time AFCON Champions is like being at home.

“People probably thought I couldn’t have got there. And I always had faith in myself that I would get there.
“I know my family are proud. I’m grateful for the opportunity and I’m glad it happened,” Fernandez concluded.
