Wilfred Ndidi: ‘One of the fastest players I’ve seen’ – Midfielder raves about ‘problem solver’ Super Eagles teammate

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi's season with Leicester City has been one to forget. The club has dropped to the Championship after a poor run of results that saw them gather just 21 points from 35 games.

They managed only five wins and lost 24 matches, finishing just above bottom-placed Southampton.

But even in a difficult season, Ndidi still found time to highlight the African players who have stood out in the Premier League.

The player had a season to forget but was able to reveal the African players who have impressed him the most this season in the Premier League.

When asked to name the African players who impressed him the most this season, the Super Eagles midfielder picked two of his Nigeria teammates: Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina.

How impressive has Ola Aina been this season?

“Not because they are Nigerians,” Ndidi explained. “Ola is amazing. He is that guy who has got zero problems.

“I’m not saying he doesn’t have one, but it just feels like he tries to solve people’s problems in his own way of vibes.”

“He has done really, really well. I think he is one of the fastest players I have seen. He doesn’t look it, but he is.”

Ola Aina has had a strong season with Nottingham Forest.

The fullback has played 32 matches, scoring twice and providing one assist. His performances have helped Forest stay competitive this season under Nuno Espírito Santo.

The team currently sits in sixth place with 61 points from 35 games, chasing a possible European spot.
