Super Eagles and Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare has emerged as a transfer target for Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor, Afrik-Foot reports.
He is one of the players Wolverhampton Wanderers are willing to part ways with following their relegation to the English Championship. He had a disappointing debut campaign at the club after joining from Genk in a €26 million transfer. In 38 games, he managed only six goals and two assists.
But despite his struggles, Arokodare’s name has been linked with top Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, both of whom are looking to sign attacking reinforcements this summer.

Galatasaray need to replace Mauro Icardi, who recently left following the expiration of his contract, while Trabzonspor are preparing for life without Paul Onuachu.
However, the Black Sea Storm appear more serious about acquiring his services. They have already lost one of their top forwards, Felipe Augusto.
Now, Onuachu — who was their star attacker last season with 26 goals and two assists in 36 games — will likely leave this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.
Trabzonspor have already started making moves. Earlier in the week, they tabled an offer to Wolves: they want the 25-year-old striker on loan for next season with a €20 million purchase option at the end of the deal.

Wolves Reject Trabzonspor’s Bid For Arokodare – But Why?
According to Turkish outlet NTV Spor, Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected Trabzonspor’s opening bid for Arokodare.
The Championship club’s target is to recoup the €26 million they paid for the Super Eagles striker last year, and Trabzonspor’s €20 million purchase option falls short of that.

As a result, the reigning Turkish Cup champions are expected to return with an improved bid in the coming days.
Although Wolves would prefer an outright sale, it appears that they would agree to a loan transfer if the purchase option is significant. Moreover, no other club has made a significant offer for the Nigerian striker, so they cannot drive up their demands.
Wolves will have to hope that Arokodare performs well during his loan so that they can secure a decent fee from the eventual transfer.

In the meantime, the Super Eagles striker has not yet expressed a desire to leave Wolves, even with the prospect of second-tier football staring him in the face.
The talks are slow now, but if Onuachu exits Trabzonspor, negotiations for Arokodare will likely speed up.
