‘At Chiefs, he can fit very well’: Mashamaite on Bafana Bafana star

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite has lauded the potential of Bafana Bafana and Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis, suggesting he would be a perfect fit at Naturena.

Appollis, alongside his Polokwane City teammate Thabang Matuludi, has been heavily linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, with reports suggesting they have already signed with the Buccaneers.

However, according to SABC Sports, Chiefs have also tabled an offer for the talented winger during this transfer window.

Mashamaite expressed surprise at the perceived delay in Chiefs' pursuit of Appollis, who is currently at the peak of his career.

The Chiefs legend believes the former SuperSport United youngster possesses the qualities to form a potent attacking unit alongside Mduduzi Shabalala and Gaston Sirino.

MASHAMAITE SAYS APPOLLIS CAN COMBINE WELL WITH CHIEFS STARS

“Definitely he can and I’m surprised why they are taking so long to get him. You know, he’s at the peak of his career and I feel like he’s ready for a big move to a big club and like right now, at Chiefs he can fit in very well,” said Mashamaite.

“He can create nice combinations with the likes of [Mduduzi] Shabalala and Sirino. So I feel like they should like really be aggressive because there’s competition.

“Like he’s been linked to Pirates as well, Pirates is doing well at the moment, so it will be attractive maybe for him to go to Pirates. But I feel like Chiefs should be aggressive because he will definitely be an asset.”
