Betway Premiership: Ndlovu and Ouaddou land first Monthly Awards

Published on by

Golden Arrows midfield dynamo Siyanda Ndlovu and Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou have been named Betway Premiership Monthly Awards winners for September and October, both claiming their first-ever accolades in the competition.

The awards, decided by a panel of PSL-accredited journalists and broadcasters, recognise standout performances across the league.

Ouaddou, who took charge of the Buccaneers earlier this season, walked away with the Coach of the Month honour after guiding Pirates to a flawless run, three wins from three, all without conceding a goal.

The Moroccan tactician’s defensive structure and attacking transitions have been key to Pirates’ resurgence, lifting them up the table and reigniting belief among the Sea Robbers faithful.

Meanwhile, Ndlovu’s star continues to rise in Durban. The 23-year-old Golden Arrows midfielder scooped Player of the Month and Goal of the Month after a string of influential displays. Over five matches, Ndlovu netted three goals and provided three assists, playing a central role in Abafana Bes’thende’s upturn in form.

His solo effort against Stellenbosch FC on 22 October, a dazzling dribble followed by a composed finish earned him Goal of the Month, edging out top contenders including Jaisen Clifford’s strike for Marumo Gallants against Kaizer Chiefs and Thabang Mathuludi’s last-gasp winner for Polokwane City.

As title sponsor, Betway continues to elevate the fan experience through activations like S’bonise & Win, which rewards fans in club colours at televised matches with instant cash prizes of up to R20,000. So far, 55 lucky supporters have cashed in.

Betway has also launched Dial Up Games, a new initiative giving fans with active Betway accounts a shot at winning up to R50,000 at selected home fixtures across all 16 clubs.
