CAF Interclub Group Stage Draw: Pots, Time and Where to Watch as Chiefs, Sundowns Learn their Fate

South Africa’s representatives in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will know which teams they will face in the group stage when the draw is conducted in Johannesburg on Monday.

Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC are the country’s teams in the two competitions with the Brazilians in the Champions League while Amakhosi and Stellies are in the Confederation Cup.

CAF will conduct the draw in Johannesburg on Monday afternoon when the three teams will get to know who they have drawn for the grueling group stages.

Sixteen clubs from either competition advanced from the second preliminary round and will be engaged in the official group stage draw where they will be divided into four groups of four teams (Groups A-D).

The teams have been seeded (from Pot 1-4) based on their performance in CAF interclub competitions over the past five seasons.

The Confederation Cup group stage draw will take place first from 13:00 before the Champions League draw takes centre stage from 14:00, both in South African time.

The draw will be live on SuperSport TV and CAF TV on YouTube.
