Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze is not closing the door on a return to Naturena even as he weighs offers from South African clubs.
Kaze, alongside co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef, were released on Tuesday when Chiefs opted against extending their stay even after guiding the club to their best finish in six years, having managed third place.
The Burundian coach says the two parties did not agree on the direction the club wanted to go, leading to a parting of ways, but he would still take the job if it was available to him in future.
“We submitted what we believed we needed to get the team further next season,” Kaze told MSW on 947.
Kaze not ruling out Kaizer Chiefs return
“Probably they had something in their minds how the team needs to go forward and we said that as much as we are discussing, you are not meeting our needs and we did not reach that discussion [of coming back] but it is something that if it comes in the future, why not?”

With the Chiefs door closed for now, Kaze has revealed that a PSL club has already approached him with discussions currently ongoing about taking over ahead of next season.
“There are some talks that are happening and if it goes well, I would gladly [take it] because I believe I know the platform, the league, the players and format of the league and I am pretty sure that I can be helpful,” Kaze disclosed.
Which PSL club is talking to the tactician?
When asked if it is a team in the top eight, Kaze said: “A team in the top 10.” Presenter Robert Marawa then prodded further, asking if it was Sekhukhune United, to which Kaze responded, “As every team that we have played against, we look at every opponent and spend so much time analysing them and Sekhukhune have been part of the league and we know them.”

“You like the colours of the jersey?” Marawa then asked. Kaze laughed before saying: “Yes, it is a good colour.”
Sekhukhune and TS Galaxy are the two teams currently looking for a coach but going by Kaze’s assertion that it is a team in the top 10, that points towards Babina Noko.
However, there are also reports linking AmaZulu boss Arthur Zwane to Sekhukhune while Manqoba Mngqithi is reported to be set to leave Golden Arrows and it remains to be seen if any of those two are the clubs Kaze is in discussion with.
