Lilepo fueled the speculation when he posted a “bye-bye South Africa” message on social media last week and there have been reports that he is wanted by clubs in the Middle East, Europe and North Africa but Chiefs are not looking to offload him.
“Lilepo is a Kaizer Chiefs player. There are reports that has signed in Belgium. Those reports are not true. The player is currently in Cape Town and enjoying a holiday with his family,” a source told KickOff.
“Yes, it’s true [that] there is interest, but the player belongs to Kaizer Chiefs. It’s only Chiefs that can decide to sell him or not. He has to honour his contract with the club.”

Ben Youssef worked as co-coach, alongside Cedric Kaze, but both were released by the club this week and Shabalala, who enjoyed a good run under their tutelage was there to wish him well.
“Thank you for the gift and for the visit. It really made me happy to see you,” Ben Youssef posted on social media.

Cedric Kaze, whose tenure as Kaizer Chiefs’ co-coach ended this week, has shed light on why the club did not extend his stay and that of co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef.
“Not really, it didn’t take me by surprise,” Kaze said MSW on 947. “A little bit but I feel like there were discussions that did not go in the converging way. That’s the world of football. Because there were two parties that agreed to part ways. Every party has weighed his options and purpose of what is coming next.
“I don’t hold any grudge and I’m very grateful to the institution, to the Chairman, to the Sporting Director and everyone. They have been incredibly helpful, and it’s a journey that comes to the end and we look forward to the future.”
