South Africa coach Hugo Broos confirmed his final squad to play Lesotho and Nigeria, respectively, in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for the next couple of days.

Bafana Bafana will play the COSAFA nation on Friday, September 5, before facing the Super Eagles four days later; all the matches will be played in Bloemfontein.Broos' men top Group C with 13 points.

Bafana Bafana is in good hands. I know some are unhappy with the number of Orlando Pirates players in the squad to face Lesotho and Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, but they have made it through noticeable hard work –  Remiazania

Relebohile Mofokeng and Patrick Masangwanyi don't deserve to be on this list. The two haven't performed since the start of the 2025/26 season. They are just there due to popularity, which will end Broos' good results. If a player didn't perform, axe him –  Zikhali Bandile 

I would have taken the risk of including Mudau in the squad, even though he is currently not even playing – Liada Duvha La Malakia

Maybe it's still early days in the season, but I see Thabiso Monyane cementing his place in this squad. I think he's going to be very important for Bafana Bafana, I think he's going to be transformational and change how we attack – MgwaliLungani
