The 2025 Premier Soccer League (PSL) race has been interesting with Kaizer Chiefs joining Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
The Brazilian lead with 32 games from 15 games, with the Glamour Boys coming second. Amakhosi have collected 30 points as well, hoping to defy the odds and silence the doubters.
Bucs are third in the PSL with 29 points having played 13 games so far. They are, by far, the best teams this season in domestic competitions. The Abdeslam Ouaddou-led men have secured the MTN8 as well as the Carling Knockout. Pirates also beat Carling All Stars 2-0 in the unofficial Black Label Cup prior to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) break.

Bafana Bafana international Tshepang Moremi is convinced his team will go all the way and win the league for the first time in more than a decade.
Chiefs and Sundowns can’t stop Pirates – Moremi
The former AmaZulu star is convinced that the quality within the team is enough to see them win the race. Furthermore, the winger insists the hunger to deliver the crown at the club is unmatched.
“The belief of winning the league from everyone is there because we work hard every day,” he said in a presser. Personally, I want to win the league this season. I believe step by step, we will win it.
“It is not something that will happen straight like that; we have to build it, but no matter what, we are going to win the league.
“The squad that we have, the love for each other, the confidence, and the mood are always high. We told ourselves that we are going for the league,” Moremi concluded.
Bucs host Magesi FC on Saturday at the Orlando Amstel Arena, knowing they can’t afford to slip.
