Kaizer Chiefs are set to sign a few quality players to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.
The Glamour Boys are set to play in the Caf Confederation Cup, defend their Nedbank Cup title, have a say in the league, and challenge for the Carling Knockout. One of the players who have been linked to the Soweto giants for the last couple of years is Sipho Mbule.

Last season, Mamelodi Sundowns loaned the midfielder to Sekhukhune United, but his contract was terminated in the latter stages after breaching the disciplinary code.
The 27-year-old's initial contract with Masandawana was to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season. However, the Premier Soccer League champions had an option to extend his stay, alongside Rivaldo Coetzee, by another year.
Will Chiefs go for Mbule?
However, the Brazilians have opted against extending the duo's deal, giving the likes of the Glamour Boys a chance to open talks. His agent Mike Makaab, has confirmed the availability of his client.

“What I can tell you is that there were a number of players that we represent who Sundowns options on, and the majority of those have been exercised,” he said in his latest interview on Gagasi FM.
“However, the players who have not been exercised are Rivaldo Coetzee and Sipho Mbule. As of the first of June, both players are free to join a club of their choice,” Makaab concluded.
It is now a wait and see if coach Nasreddine Nabi will ask the Amakhosi management to go for the midfielder.
