DDC: Chiefs stay top, Pirates slip

Kaizer Chiefs enjoyed a dominant weekend in the DDC league, extending their lead at the summit with a resounding 4-0 victory over SuperSport United at FNB Stadium.

This win puts them on 54 points. In contrast, Orlando Pirates suffered a 2-1 defeat against AmaZulu FC at Isak Steyl Stadium, with Siphamandla Msezana scoring their only goal as Asanda Mzobe and Thato Mdluli secured the win for Usuthu.

Mamelodi Sundowns produced a stunning performance, thrashing Marumo Gallants 7-1 at Dr Molemela Stadium, with Thulani Zandamela bagging a hat-trick.

Stellenbosch FC continued their strong form with a 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United at Isak Steyl Stadium, while Cape Town City delivered an emphatic 8-2 win against Magesi FC at Malta Park Stadium.
