Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will face off in the DStv Diski Challenge on Saturday looking to maintain their impressive form.
Chiefs have not lost any of their last six matches, winning the last three PSL Reserve League games, while Sundowns are unbeaten in seven, having also secured victories in their last three.
It leaves the two teams chasing top spot with Stellenbosch leading the table on 26 points, Sundowns second on 25, while Chiefs are in third, two points adrift.
Chiefs have a chance to move top
However, Stellies have played a match more than Sundowns and two more than Chiefs, meaning Amakhosi have a chance to move top if they win their games in hand, same as the Brazilians.
That will add to their motivation on Saturday November 23 when they clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Chiefs have had two weeks to rest after their match against Orlando Pirates was suspended last week owing to bad weather and they should be ready for the top clash against the young Sundowns.
Why are Pirates not in action?
Meanwhile, Pirates will not be in action for a second successive week as their match with Royal AM is suspended due to the latter’s FIFA ban while Cape Town City will look to close in on the leaders when they visit Golden Arrows at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium also on Saturday.
Leaders Stellenbosch, meanwhile, will go in search for another win to remain top of the table as they host Sekhukhune United at the Idas Valley Sports Ground on Sunday November 24, the same day Marumo Gallants visit AmaZulu as TS Galaxy host Polokwane City at Chatsworth and Isak Steyl stadiums respectively.
There will be two other matches on Saturday as Magesi FC host SuperSport United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium while Chippa United welcome Richards Bay FC at the Buffalo City Stadium.
